One of the most active truck transformers of the 80s and 90s, Sidcar was created in 1972 in Mogi das Cruzes (SP), as a workshop for automotive painting and painting. In 1981, with the expansion of the cabins' modism, the company moved to the new activity with great success, in ten years reaching the mark of 5,000 transformed vehicles. From the beginning, Sidcar worked with pickup trucks Ford and Chevrolet (although this one had double booths of "factory"), denominating the models of them derived respectively Oregon and Montana (later Indiana). The company was quite conservative in its first creations, keeping the waistline and window sizes unchanged, consistent with the original vehicle and without altering its style, at the most allowing itself to add a new grille to the Ford models.
